About Online Services

It’s easy to make Mountain America Credit Union transactions right from your home computer. With Online BranchSM, you save trips to the credit union, and that means more time for the activities you really enjoy. Now save even more time by using free MACU2Go to access Online Branch directly from your Internet-enabled access device.

Information on this page will outline the features and functionality as well as minimum requirements to access Online Branch and MACU2Go.

What Online Branch can do:

  • Download account information into your Quicken or Money software
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Review your account balances
  • View or print a current account history
  • View or print copies of cleared checks
  • Deposit checks from home
  • Open additional share certificates or a money market account 
  • Look up stock quotes
  • Track your stocks
  • Pay bills with Bill PayerSM
  • Use MACU2Go to access Online Branch with your Internet-enabled device.

To activate your account for Internet access to the Online Branch, visit any Mountain America Credit Union branch, or call 801-325-6228 in Salt Lake, or toll-free 1-800-748-4302.

Getting Started

  • Log on to the Internet.
  • Go to https://www.macu.com. You may want to bookmark this site for future use.
  • Enter account number at upper left hand corner of the home page.
  • Enter password. It is the same as your Touch-Tone -Teller PIN. If you don't know your Touch-Tone -Teller PIN, please contact the Call Center at 1-800-748-4302.
  • Click on the login button.
  • Choose a new password as indicated by the prompt to be used exclusively for Online Branch.

Browser Requirements

We guarantee support when using one of the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher 

A 128-bit encryption is required. To determine if your browser supports 128-bit encryption, click on 'Help' in the toolbar of your Internet browser and click on 'About browser name'. A pop-up box or window will display. For Internet Explorer - Next to 'Cipher strength' you should see '128-bit'. For Netscape - the following text should appear: 'This version supports high-grade (128-bit) security with RSA Public Key Cryptography'.

Helpful Hints

Online Branch has easy menus and help screens to guide you. To use Online Branch, point and click the mouse and use your keyboard to enter text and numbers.

The colored text can also direct you. For instance, to view your account history go to Account Access and click on the colored account title (example: checking). The cursor will become hand-shaped when you can click to go to a new screen.

Now you can pay your bills the safe and easy way—online! No more buying stamps, using gas to go to the post office or leaving your bills in the mailbox, where ID thieves can nab them. With Bill Payer, you can pay all your bills with just a few clicks, all from the comfort of home. Simply go online anytime, anywhere, and pay anyone you want. You have complete control!

Pay the Easy Way

Mountain America Credit Union offers Bill Payer for free when you have a Mountain America Checking Account. It's fast and easy and you already know we are reliable and trustworthy. You tell us how much to pay to whom and when. We take care of the rest.

Paying bills online is easy to set up for members who have Internet access and 128-bit encryption. (Before you begin, it is wise to have a list of the bills you wish to pay with addresses and phone numbers, the dates they are due and your account numbers with them.) To sign up:

  • Go to and log into Online Branch
  • Click on the "Bill Payment" button.
  • Follow the prompts to set up your online bill-payment system

Change Is Simple

Once you've set up your bill payment schedule, you'll have no problem changing your password, adding or removing bills or authorizing one-time payments. eStatements & WebChecks

 

Yep, you heard right

We are offering you the option of viewing your statements and cleared checks online through Online Branch home banking!

There's so much to do!

  • Account and Credit Card Statements - You can select to view your most recent statement or you can select a past statement. Up to one year of history is available.
  • Tax Forms - Tax forms such as the 1099 Tax Form is now available to view online.
  • Notifications - Notifications that you would receive in the mail will now be available online.
  • Cleared Checks - Cleared checks are available to view in Online Branch. You will need to know the check number as well as the amount of the check.

eStatement and WebCheck Access

If you are a current eStatement/WebCheck user, you are already enabled to use this service. All you need to do is log in to Online Branch. Once you are logged in, click on the "eStatements/WebChecks" button that appears at the top.

If you are not a current eStatement/WebChecks user, you can still access the system if you are enabled to use Online Branch. Once you are logged in, click on the "eStatements/WebChecks" button that appears at the top. You will be prompted to opt-out of receiving a paper statement. If you would like to continue receiving a paper statement, you will not need to opt-out in order to use the system.

If you are not an Online Branch home banking user, click here to sign up for Online Branch. Once you are enabled for Online Branch, go to the Online Branch Login Page to log into your account. Once logged in, click on the "eStatements/WebChecks" button that appears at the top. You will be prompted to opt-out of receiving a paper statement. If you would like to continue receiving a paper statement, you will not need to opt-out in order to use the system.
